I took this photo for the jpg magazine theme "breakthrough." I was struggling with an image for this concept and noticed the foundation pilings at a construction site across from my neighborhood. The construction fence was pretty flimsy so I pulled the top down a little to get a better photo and decided to leave my hand in the frame. The photo didn't get published but a few people liked it.

Interesting image. I like the fact that you left your hand in the shot. It's a nice unexpected feature.

Interesting image, did you do some processing, looks really nice and I think the hand there gives a special touch to this photo!

Alfredo, yes, I ran the shot through Photomatix, an hdr program, but treaded lightly on the effect. I've found that it does a good job on conversions to B&W when you keep the "strength" slider effect low.

What a unique approach to the photo and to the theme! Well done!
