A blast from the past, many years ago, when I was still using film. From a bagpipe festival (?) in Edinburgh, Scotland, held at a park in the shadow of the city's famous Castle Rock (Princess Street Gardens I think). This image was made on transparency film, probably something like Ektachrome 200. Trying to optimize a scan from my flatbed scanner has convinced me that I need to buy a film scanner.

Mazrul, I might be able to recover some detail (I'm experimenting with HDR software like Photomatix to recover detail in the shadows and highlights, but haven't tried it on this image), but I had absolutely very little luck in improving the sharpness.
