I was sitting on our patio, camera on tripod, to try out my cheap new Nikon 75-300 mm lens on the backyard bird feeder. My dog, Hamlet, woke up beside me from a nap and nearly knocked over my tripod in his exuberance to do something --I don't know what exactly-- about the squirrel who had slipped up to the feeder while he was sleeping. Of course, Hamlet had no chance of catching this squirrel. As far as the lens goes, the higher the aperture the better, with anything below f8 a non-starter.

Well if this doesn't have a 'Jaws 'component to it....very funny...great 'accident'. I'm surprised no one has commented on this..cheers.

@rverspirit: Thanks rverspirit. Not that I find this particular photo especially comment worthy, but I know what you mean. I've seen any number of photos on here that I think are exceptional and have no comments. And on the other hand I've seen some rather ordinary photos --to me at least-- with lots of comments. For me, this is part of the point in posting here: to find what other photographers find worthy of note or interest. So, if an image draws no comments that tells me something; I don't know exactly what, yet, but perhaps after posting enough photos I'll figure it out.
Haha, so cool, nice shot, liked the way you composed this photo, also the targeting of the squirrel, =)
