This grave sits very near the road on a route I travel several times a year. It appears to be tended with some regularity; and I have been documenting the changes I see there.

@RoBeRt: Weird, the normal links for your pics aren't working. When I click on your name I get today's photo with no links to previous pics. Anyway, thanks, and yes, this plot, which is actually right next to the curb and open to the roadway, is obviously tended with love. This shot was taken around January, and the grave was extensively decorated for Easter. I should post that photo too.
A touching tribute to a loved one who is missed. Nice that you recorded this.

@Viewfinder: Thank you.
Yes someone cares...I hope tending to the grave brings comfort for the those left behind! And I agree with Viewfinder!

@shar: There is a cemetery across the street from this one and back around Easter I saw it stocked with a lot of new Confederate flags. I was curious to see if this was a political statement of some kind and stopped to find that most of the flags decorated graves of men who had actually fought for the South in the Civil War. These were men who had nearly all died before about 1890, and many of these graves were also decorated with flowers. One of the things that surprised me about this was that in our transient society there are places where family members are still around to decorate the graves of relatives who died over 100 years ago.
