A Day by the Bay Image 2
Taken by the jetties at Port O'Conner, Texas. The water in this shot looks pretty murky. This may be due in large part to the fact that there isn't much circulation here: this water is in the crotch of a long rock jetty flanking a channel in a bay. The area is littered with the remains of dead animals --mostly fish from fishermen cleaning and discarding the remains of their catches. And then there was the unmistakable evidence of human presence: carelessly discarded trash --people fishing on the jetties using the crevices between the rocks as trash receptacles. This crab, by the way, is dead. I found him bottom up. I took this photo after my wife turned it over to see what kind of crab it was.
