The More Things Change

This shot is of the Austin skyline taken from the Lamar Street bridge. Four construction cranes are visible in this small area. Several large buildings are under construction. Austin is changing. Is it progress? Some people are certain it is. Some people are certain it isn't. Some people are uncertain; and no doubt, some people would see the set of blessings conferred by this progress as mixed. In whatever way one interprets progress, the graffiti on the railroad bridge in the foreground reminds us of how little things change.
