I took this awhile back at the Roundtop Antique Fair and just recently got around to processing it. In this very large fair with over 300 vendors, this was the only booth where you could find any block and tackle. Since this is nowhere near the ocean, maybe that's not so inappropriate. But I have to wonder: is it just the Roundtop Antique Fair, or is it getting harder and harder to take the family out shopping for block and tackle?

@KMF: Thank you and thanks for stopping by. You've got some interesting photos posted. One of the best things about Animus is looking at photos people are taking in different places in the world.
You are doing wonders with these HDR-like shots. Unbelievably nice.

@Amir: Thank you. This isn't the kind of shot you get to redo when you screw up. This one had blown out highlights that were "fixed" --if you want to call it that-- in processing. I usually don't like the way Photomatix grays down blown highlights, but here it isn't too bad because the highlights were on the metal bars in the foreground and in the tent in the background, and the gray tones work better than pure white. I always shoot with the histogram showing so I knew I'd blown it, but when you're taking photos of people like this you don't get another chance.
