A change of pace. I usually avoid taking photos of flowers, though I grant that experience has taught me taking photos of flowers in the field can be a real technical challenge, especially if there is the slightest breeze. On my way to the Roundtop Antique Fair there was mile after mile of drainage ditch along both sides of the highway filled with nothing more interesting than grass. Then on one side of the highway, where it straddled an intersecting side road, I noticed the ditch was full of lilies --for a distance of maybe 100 to 200 feet.

The lilies have a splendid color. mmm they remind me of candy.

@Rabbit: Thank you, but they really didn't taste all that good to me --certainly not like candy. Just kidding.
This flower shot is not like any other casual ones we see everyday, it's very well done, crisp, well framed.

@Maysam: Thank you.
Beautiful framing and lovely even tone - nice outdoor capture TB - the light here is harsh and often burnt out for taking shots most of the day so it's tricky! :)

@Bron: Thank you. That's photography in a sunburned country, is it not? The light is pretty harsh here too in the afternoon, but my biggest problem with flower shots is usually that in just the slightest breeze, when I stop down for the DOF I want, shutter speed is too low stop the flower from blurring.
I like lillies , very nice shot !
