Maybe all three images are better in color --I don't know. I liked the two previous images better in B&W, but today's image is the one I actually created first --well before the others-- and it still seems best to me in color.

I love them in both format. The black and white gives off the old feeling and the color is just vibrant

@Amir: It's interesting to think about how we perceive photos like this psychologically. There is something about the addition of color that "normalizes" the image. I suppose this is at least partly because B&W is one obvious level of abstraction (certainly colors can be altered to varying degrees of abstraction as well, but if they remain within a certain range they continue to add a "naturalistic" touch). So, with color, our first reaction is that we're seeing something "real," whereas B&W is an obvious "interpretation." I love B&W, especially in movies.
I have to agree with Amir I do like blk&whte it gives the sense of time passages.

@Lost Valley View: Thank you. I often have trouble deciding between two different versions of the same image --at least when it's something I've done.
wonderful image.

@See The Light: Thank you. You've got some great images here and on your other blog. I really liked the recent photo of the handkerchiefs at Sheepsheperdess. Very scary stuff with Chris. I hope the treatment works.
B&W is always more dramatic, its really been stripped down to image. Digital colour is great now, the blue and rust on the bus looks fantastic. I'm a bus driver so I'm looking at these shots with great interest.

@Carson: Thank you. JoeB and you convinced me to complete the week by posting the color versions of the first two shots.
I really like the colors in the way you cropped this.

@Shar: Thank you. Technically, I didn't crop this image. It is composed just the way I shot it in camera with no cropping done in post-processing. However, I don't hesitate to crop if I think it will improve the composition. With 10 MP you can do a lot of cropping and still have a decent image.
