I can't look through a lot, or a pile, of broken, rusting, and decaying remnants of once used, and, perhaps, once loved, automobiles, without wondering how they got where they are now, and what happened to their owners? There can be great beauty in decay, in rust, in rot, and even in destruction. A junkyard presents us with a collection from which we may pick and choose our own aesthetic of disintegration.

These are most probably are Chevy trucks from 1940s to 1950s era. When I see these I can't stop but to believe in destiny even for non-living man made materials. I have seen similar models nice and shiny with yellow or red color cruising on the street and on the other hand there are these, abandoned for decades.
Earth has such tapestries. Lovely in HDR

@Amir: Well, for me, I suppose it depends on how you define "destiny." Any car is ultimately destined for the junk pile; and we're all destined to die, but I think you have something else in mind.
Wonderful image!

@justin cafiero: I didn't think of it that way, but now that you mention it, there is that kind of vivid coloring you see in Mexico. Thanks for stopping by.
It is an amazing selection... love the colours!

@Daroru: Thank you.
Wow, its a hot-rodders paradise - were they for sale?

@Richard_Irwin: It appeared to be open for business, so while I didn't see any signs or prices, I assume everything was for sale. It wasn't the usual junkyard you see here where parts are salvaged, and was rather small, so I'd guess that this junkyard was primarily doing business in old car bodies and vintage parts.
cool photo
