Week of the Cicada: Image 1 - Hanging Cicada

This week I'll be posting images of this strange insect that fills the night with its sounds. I'm also posting these images in advance --something suggested by some of you who leave comments about my photos. I think this may be the way to go: process on weekends and post for the week. It sure makes things easier when you're posting a series of related photos as I am doing this week.
