@Scotfot: It was very nice. One of the places in Germany we enjoyed the most.

@TravBoy: Me too. A place where you can walk out your front door and into an actual city life, instead of a subdivision out in suburbia where you can't go anywhere without a car. There is no equivalent social context anywhere within 150 miles of where I live.

@farmermarn: I'd miss it too, except I've never lived in the city. Been to some nice living cities like Vancouver, but spent just about all my life in the 'burbs. But so far as I know, there are no "real" cities with any kind of social or street life outside the working weekday, anywhere in Texas.
