On Monday I will start posting a new set of industrial night shots, most of which I took using a tripod at ISO 100 --some of which might be interesting to compare with the high ISO images I posted last week. Technically this image might be considered the start, but when I took this shot, I hadn't actually started using the tripod and was still shooting at high ISO's.

i like the lines and curves, the branches on the background, the b&w works extremely well, an eerie looking shot, i like that. at iso 1000 i could hardly see signs of grain and the photo looks sharp enough. a very good picture to kick off your series of industrial photos, looking forward in seeing the rest.

@Mortola: Thanks. There wasn't much color anyway, pretty much just an amber glow from the lights. Maybe the grain/noise is less visible at the sizes displayed here on Animus. Still, I was reluctant to use these ISOs when I first got my camera, but using them have not found them all that objectionable. The only problem is that HDR processing is impossible if there is any appreciable amount of grain/noise in the image.
Really like your shot, the shapes and subtle tones of the half-light make it quite mysterious.

@Caroline: Thank you. Mystery is what I was shooting for.
Like the electric lights contrasting against the dying daylight behind.

@Daroru: Thanks. I put it a little closer to death in post-processing.
