This photo illustrates one of those moments that I carry a camera around for. All I had was my little pocket Nikon P&S, but I was able to get, more or less, the shot I wanted. This was taken the morning of the change to daylight savings time. I've passed this way every weekday for years, and this is the only time I've ever seen the morning light and plant exhaust steam look like this.

Awesome shot ... almost looks like a triple exposure!

@Ron: Thanks. Distinct fore, middle, and backgrounds. I did emphasize this feature by tweaking back ground contrast and darkening the foreground.
Great capture - good thing you had the camera with you!! I love the foggy look and the diagnoal power lines as well. Nicely done!

@Chris: Thanks. Honestly, I didn't even notice the lines when I was taking the shot because I could barely see the framing with just the crappy little LCD monitor. I do love my SLR for that reason.
:) nice one

@angel: Thank you.
good job being flexible. even with the P&S, the composition of this shot is just great.

@e nelsonian: Thanks. I have a hard time framing on an LCD monitor. I much prefer looking through my SLR.
A very mysterious atmosphere, super shot!

@Mortola: A great compliment, much appreciated. It was one of those times when you get the shot if you are ready with a camera and will never see it again if you aren't. I've been missing a lot of shots because I just have that little P&S with me and it just isn't fast enough.
Magnificent, well captured.

@jean-sebastien: Thank you. It was partly due to the quality of the light on this particular day, but I think there also have been an unusual amount of dust in the atmosphere.
