I got my new wife to pose for me on a recent cruise. Just kidding. My wife is beautiful but this isn't her. This is a shot from my film days. Some years ago we went on a one day cruise out of Tampa, Florida. I went wandering around the ship with my camera and stumbled onto a professional photo shoot of some kind --complete with bikini models, photo assistants, reflectors, and what I presume to be a professional photographer. Need I say that my photo taking was not appreciated? In fact, the photographer seemed quite agitated, so I took my shots and booked before I could be apprehended.

Oh...! Like the guy in the top right corner; I can just imagine his wife there in the next chair talking away to him, and he's... "Mmm hmm... yes dear... mmm... yes dear...."

@Daroru: Note that I was roaming the decks without my wife. I don't know that I'd have been brave enough to take these photos if my wife had been with me.
stunning model

A wonderful scene! This model is sort of a 'strange attractor': in a few seconds all order on board will collapse :-)

@MadScientist: I think that's the chaos the photographer feared I might precipitate. I think others with cameras were intimidated by the process and had been staying away. I just walked up and started taking photos and I think he feared a stampede. But hey, under US law, it you're in a public place, you can be photographed, whether you like it or not. It was cruise ship property though, so if they'd set it up properly, they would have secured that area from the public. That they didn't do this was their problem.
Well done!

@kaneli: Thanks. And it was nice of the photographer to have his assistants hold those reflectors up for me.
Ah, yes . . those of such beauty can create havoc and are disappointed if they don’t. This image really has an air about it.

@Ronnie 2¢: Stay tuned for more. Quite by accident, I saw the intended results of this shoot, in a swimsuit magazine, some months after the fact. I actually think my photos were better.
cool shot, no problems afterwards I hope, haha

@Dimitrios: Well, this was long before having a camera got you labeled as a "terrorist," so all I had to worry about was harassment from the crew on behalf of the photographer. Clearly though, he sent an assistant to report me and get someone in the crew to go after me, but I took off before anyone could respond. Legally, I think I was within my rights, but "legality" is something that often only gets settled long after the fact, if at all.
i like this..sort of an old 60's shot..post more of her up..

@alex centrella: More of her coming, plus, I actually was there long enough to start a roll of color, and get a few shots of the other models.
i once had a similar experience with what i thought was a "professional photographer" at a wedding. the "pro" was hostile towards everyone taking pictures, i'm not ignorant of the proper etiquette functioning as backup photog, the "pro" was just a total jerk. a real professional does not act like that, not that insecure. anyways, love the 80's hair on the model.

@Mortola: Wedding photographers are notorious for resenting the amateurs in the crowd taking photos that they think are going to cut into their revenue; and sometimes, people who unlike you, do not know the proper etiquette, interfere with their shots. But some of the smart ones get to the reception with prints and make sales before Joe Sixpack gets his images back from the photo processor.
I have to say, I was not impressed with the shots the pro took at my son's wedding.
Looks like the guy on the left is saying to his wife " you stay here I'm just going for a little walk." You do know about advertising, sex sells.

@JoeB: If we're talking about the same guy on the left, he's actually a waiter, taking drink orders.
