A recently scanned image from my film archive. The original of this one had blown out highlights so it took a little fiddling for me to get something half-way acceptable.

Full of atmosphere.

@Daroru: Shot on slide film and overexposed. It's an image I felt had potential, but there wasn't much I could do with it in the old pre-digital days.
i love this......mystery

@alun lambert: Thank you.
Very acceptable! Is it abandoned? If so, that would be too bad.

@MadScientist: It was taken a long time ago, but yes, I believe it was abandoned. The economics may be different in Europe, but in this country, it is often cheaper to just tear down a house like this and build a new one just like it in its place --depending on the state of decay and such things as how it is wired and plumbed.
Wonderful, but it creeps me out!
@Ana Lúcia: I'm sure the inside would have been interesting. It didn't actually seem creepy when I took the shot in the middle of an afternoon. I believe it was abandoned. Probably not a place you'd want to walk through at night though, when who knows who might be hiding out there or using it for a crash pad.
The colour is good, very Norman Bates.

@JoeB: From a color transparency, believe it or not, but over exposed and washed out --plus there wasn't that much color in the scene to beging with. I fiddled with the color in processing.
wow. it looks like it could be straight out of a movie about a haunted house.

@danthro: Or how about where a serial killer fixes his victims? I tried all kinds of processing on this, including HDR, but HDR did nothing for it.
Where is Adams Family ? Great shot !

@Vink: They moved out and got a place that wasn't in such good shape.
