Nice panorama shot, reminds me of Berlin, Postdamer Platz a few years ago.

@MadScientist: Unfortunately, I've never been to Berlin. I have noticed some rather similar architecture between cities like Frankfurt --which I guess was pretty much leveled during WWII-- and Dallas.
Obviously you have cropped this image, I would have like to see a bit more of what's going on at the bottom. But it's still a brilliant shot. Sky looks humid and stormy, was it?

@Observing: Depends on how you look at cropping I suppose. This is actually a stitched panorama composed of four separate frames. You probably can't tell at the size here, but the two people on the right are the same two people on the left, who had walked around as I was snapping photos. However, I did indeed crop the stitched image to remove the irregular edges.
Yes, it was raining off and on --but lightly-- when this was taken --about 2PM-- and cloudy all day. I shot the basic series of frames comprising this image about five times but this is the only set of images that went together without any discontinuities. One thing this exercise taught me is that I need to leave much more room in the frame. I shot this series horizontally, but next time I think I'll turn my camera over and shoot everything vertically leaving more room at both the top and bottom of the final image for cropping out the irregularities.
Great panorama shot. Excellent composition.

@Ana Lúcia: Thank you.
Great panorama

@Alun Lambert: Thanks. I like it mostly, but there are some things I don't like and I plan to do better next time.
cool cityscape. one of those times it's too bad it has to get reduced to 800pixels wide for aminus3--it'd be nice to see it larger.

@danthro: Ok, just for you, you can find a bigger version here. I'm a little disappointed because I thought I could post the file at it's original size, but it turns out you have to have a pro account for that. I've been meaning to get one, but haven't done it yet. When I do I'll try to remember to let you know so you can see the full image.
This is one of my favourite things, stiched panoramas it just tells a bigger story. I've used it mostly to shoot large buildings. I like your idea of shooting vertical for a horizontal to avoid less cropping.

@JoeB: I have had only limited success in getting the images to stitch without discontinuities. I think this is partly due, in an image like this, the the extreme perspective transitions from one side of the image to another. But even when the plane of the entire image is more distant, I begin to have trouble when I try to put more than three horizontal images together.
