@Anthony: Thanks. It's interesting what a difference small changes make. I had another version with his face more level and not turned up like it is here, but the effect was entirely different.
@Ronnie 2¢: I was going to experiment with my SB800, but I realized pretty quickly that even illumination wouldn't produce the look I wanted, and ended up using a small lamp and a flashlight.
these shots like this one you have are really creepy, but i think that's the effect you were going for ;)

@danthro: Yeah, I took this for the "moustache" theme at JPG Mag. I used the vertical color version posted earlier for that. I've had a couple of funny incidents with this dummy. I was carrying it in the bag of my car to use as a prop when I came across the right scene. One day I decided to sit him up in the passenger seat as I was driving to Austin, just for the Hell of it. I went through the drive-in window of a well known fast food outlet to get some coffee and didn't even think about Bob. Got really strange looks from the girl at the window, not remembering until I drove off that Bob was strapped in to the passenger seat.
The scene in this photo was still set-up in my garage when a guy came by to do a termite inspection the other day. He didn't say anything when he came in from the garage but later on when it occurred to me that this was still set-up in the garage I couldn't help but wonder what thoughts must have been going through this guy's mind. So far, though, Homeland Security has not swept down to arrest either me, or Bob.
