@Evi: Thank you.
Lovely shades of Green, and I like the painted over bricks above the door. It's a great shot.

@Observing: I'm shamed to admit that I didn't even notice the bricks until I had this on my monitor for processing.
Great colours and lots of good detail,one of your best yet !!

@Anthony: Thanks. I liked the subject or I wouldn't have taken the shot, but I'm sort of surprised at how many comments it drew. But since my wife liked it too, I guess I should have known.
cool textures. i think the facade is chipping away.

@danthro: Thanks.
an excellent photo, a great find, what is this place? there has to be a reason why they painted this green.

@Mortola: It was a crumbling old building --I'd guess from the facade, built in the late 19th or early 20th century. I don't know what it was originally. In fact, I don't know what is was most recently used for, but my guess is that someone made it into a shop of some kind --gift, antique, etc-- but this town can't really support that kind of business. Just to the left was another crumbling building. Across the street were a couple of newly renovated buildings being used as a restaurant and antique shop --otherwise the street was nearly deserted.
Green is hope - but I think it's too late for this building. (Super shot, btw.)

@MadScientist: What you can't see is the absence of a roof.
Beautiful fading colour must have been real eye catching in its prime, reminds of moss.

@JoeB: In it's time it was probably just plain ole' red brick.
What an interesting find.

@Daroru: It's sad in a way, that someone put something into this place that didn't pay off, but I love finding old buildings like this one.
Very cool. I love the texture and the little peek of real green from the tree.
