Steve Andrews: Dave, can you hear me? CO2.

Lieutenant Dave: CO2? Phil, Phil, you got any CO2 fire extinguishers?

Fireman Phil: I may....some soda acid.

Lieutenant Dave: Well, get those CO2's out here and start hitting around those cellar windows.

Fireman Phil: What?

Lieutenant Dave: Just do it Phil! And have your men check these buildings for fire extinguishers. But only the CO2 kind. Bring back every one you can get your hands on. And hurry!

It's not for mere amusement that I provide this dialog. Obviously, the government is covering up a real Blob attack, and the evidence is right here in this photo, titled OJ in order to fool the NSA and FBI Carnivore filters.

Quite a lot of them. If they were filled with oxygen you could have titled your photo "Mt. Everest Base Camp" :-)

@danthro: Some local industrial safety company. There were big ones in the back, on wheels, but you can't seem them here.

I really like this one...I've been thinking about this image for the last couple of days. The "OJ" part really has me curious. Are you really that talented with a hose ;) or did you just "happen" to come across this? Anyway, I think this is really interesting. BTW, I don't know how you do it, but you always seem to come up with the most interesting commentary for your images.

@Melissa W.: This is one of those images that I like myself but apparently doesn't have a very broad appeal to others. It's the kind of thing that makes it difficult for me to choose photos when I submit to some theme or category, as often what I like apparently doesn't resonate with anyone else. Not having the sense of what others like makes self-editing difficult. It doesn't matter so much here, but it does matter when you're competing against other images with your submissions.

I didn't touch anything here. I usually don't manipulate "found" scenes. I might do something like pull back an obtruding branch or blade of grass, but I don't usually rearrange a scene I happen upon. Normally, I only arrange or rearrange objects in a "studio" shot --something I'm setting up. I don't know if I can define it clearly, but as examples: The objects in this image happen to be in this particular arrangement and they're not objects that would commonly be moved around by just anyone, and I'm not inclined to change anything myself. In your image of salt and pepper shakers I would definitely move the objects for the best possible image, but then, everyone who sits at the table moves them around so there is no particular static "arrangement" for them implied by any particular position.

You'll notice there is no commentary with my last couple of images: I sort of ran into a dry spell.
