Observing from Chester, United KingdomLooks like it needs a coat of paint.... shows how the years have taken their toll. It's a great shot. 6 Jun 2008 8:15am Helma from Tehran, IranInteresting subject !! good capture with best colors .. thanks . 6 Jun 2008 3:39pm Persian King from Tehran, IranYour old and abandoned car HDR always amazes me, they are well composed, well framed and well processed, but unfortunately I have ever found any good subject such as yours around my neighborhood 6 Jun 2008 4:29pm @Persian King: Actually, I see a lot more possibilities for shots like this than I ever find the time to stop for. Part of it may be that my travel environment is more rural and less urban than yours. In metropolitan areas the city government probably makes people clean up and dispose of abandoned vehicles. bruno from les Ollières, FranceColors are really beautiful with good saturation.Nice! 6 Jun 2008 5:45pm MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyIf fuel prices keep rising then this is just the beginning. 6 Jun 2008 5:53pm @MadScientist: I know you're paying a lot more in Europe than we are here, but it still blows me away that it costs $50 to fill up the same little car that cost $15 to fill up three years ago. And what's worse, our official "inflation" figures are a lie, and nearly everything else is going up at a pretty high clip too --even food (of course, big screen TV's are cheaper). Yesterday I saw where some consulting firm was forecasting food prices to rise 10% a year through 2012 --and 10% for 7 years is a doubling in price. Then we get propaganda in the "news" that high fuel, or food, or energy, or electricity, or whatever prices are "here to stay." So, "just the beginning" is right. dillonpic from United StatesNice decay here. i like how the blues really pop out. very cool. 6 Jun 2008 8:49pm @dillonpic: You've got a lot of great images on your website. Tell ya what. I'll trade you subjects. I'll tell you where to find this truck and you send Rachael, Dolly, and Leanne my way for a photo shoot (but please, don't tell my wife). danthro from Suburbia, United Statescan't imagine it's made any deliveries for a long time. but it looks like the plants have found a home in it. nice shot! 6 Jun 2008 9:58pm bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaWhat a great find and beautifully represented.
