very nice, the bird is realy sharp, I have just got into taking birds and its realy hard to get them sharp

@Alun Lambert: I'm especially having trouble with this lens for some reason --even at shutter speeds of 1/500. Here I was braced against a piling of my own, but my free hand shots haven't been turning out too well.

@Persian King: The DOF on this lens is fairly shallow. At 300mm it's like looking through a telescope and I can't seem to hold steady enough for a sharp shot even at 1/500. Here I was braced on a piling of my own.

@observing: Even with a 300mm lens on shots like this I sometimes have to do a little cropping to get the composition I want --that's where the 10 MP comes in handy (though I only cropped about 10% here).
