Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA cool image. I like the illustration effect. 2 Jul 2008 5:07am @Michael Skorulski: Thank you. What precisely do you mean by the "illustration effect?" @Saeed: Thank you. @Marie Le Corre: Thank you for looking and commenting. Sarah, Nothing But from dijon, Franceencore et toujours une composition superbement réalisée dans un environnement très colorée! 2 Jul 2008 7:13am @Sarah, Nothing But: Merci beau coup. @Ana Lúcia: Thank you. @Observing: Thanks. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyI still don't know why it has been abandoned but I really like your processing! 2 Jul 2008 1:06pm @MadScientist: Well, if you look at the real wheels it looks like there is a broken axle. Since the front is so heavily bondoed I'm guessing that there were other repairs necessary, and maybe the owner didn't feel that the likely remaining utility justified the cost of repairs? It's just a guess though. Maybe I just caught it before anyone got around to having it repaired? JoeB from Brampton, CanadaIts had it its like a dead elephant not going anywhere, nice play with the colours. 2 Jul 2008 2:29pm @JoeB: The time of day was working against me but what are ya gonna do? Rui Borges from Sintra, PortugalI second others opinions...processing, composition, colors...a great work! 2 Jul 2008 3:59pm @Rui Borges: Thank you for looking and commenting. @AG: Thank you for looking and commenting. dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Statesawesome coloring! is this HDR? i am sensing some sort of 'supernatural' glow? marvelous effect! 2 Jul 2008 5:25pm @dj.tigersprout: Well, "technically" no, since it is processed from a single frame, and therefore not an expansion of dynamic range. It was processed using HDR software --Photomatix-- so I suppose it depends on what you consider HDR. Vincent from Montréal, CanadaLike it a lot. Maybe a little high on colour saturation. Rust isn't that vivid, is it? Seems like a good subject to shot over and over again :) 2 Jul 2008 5:37pm @Vincent: Well, it's up there, but what I was actually keying off of is the red saturation of the ground and grass. I did tone it down a little, but maybe it could come down some more. @gbe: Thanks. danthro from Suburbia, United Statesnice shot. like the colors and lighting and how that emphasizes the old, beat-up-ness of the truck. the thing that's sort of irritating me is the dark tones in the sky, well, either it's that or the air was very polluted on this day 2 Jul 2008 10:50pm @danthro: I could have lightened it. Thought about it. I'm not quite satisfied with something about it myself. I'm inclined to think it's partly because what I was shooting for isn't possible in an image captured at 3 PM. pierre from athis mons, FranceIt remembers me the S. King book, "Christine" !! Great ! 3 Jul 2008 8:59am Ted from South Wales, United Kingdomrich colours, beat up subject and nicely shot...good work. 5 Jul 2008 7:46am @Ted: Thank you. Persian King from Tehran, IranLook at the rear wheels, it's like been dropped from a hight. 8 Jul 2008 5:00pm |
