@Ana Lúcia: Thank you. Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaTo me it has a hand-drawn/painted or illustration effect, which I like. Same as yesterdays. I'm guessing it's HDR but not sure! 3 Jul 2008 7:40am @Michael Skorulski: A single image processed with Photomatix and then converted to B&W, with some post conversion RGB filter adjustment. Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsAccidentally I had to be on the "community" page and there I met you, I went through your latest pictures and I added you to my blogwatch. Your pictures are outstanding! 3 Jul 2008 10:26am @Illuci: Many thanks. Thank you for looking and commenting. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyIt's always interesting, if not amusing, how you manage to make the strangest things look beautiful and contemplative. Very cool! 3 Jul 2008 12:33pm @MadScientist: I had several other shots of this truck --by which I mean, of different elements or taken from different perspectives-- but I didn't want to wear the theme of it out. sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesPoor old truck. Those pitiful bent wheels:-( 3 Jul 2008 3:10pm dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United StatesI love the dilapidation of the tires... sweet urban decay here... love the b/w and the grittiness of this. awesome! 3 Jul 2008 3:23pm @dj.tigersprout: I couldn't quite get the tonality I was seeking but I guess that was due to the lighting/time-of-day --which was very sub-optimum. danthro from Suburbia, United Statescool shot! you haven't been clipping the highlights have you? no matter, i like how it looks :) agree with dj.tigersprout's comment 3 Jul 2008 8:26pm @danthro: Actually, the original exposure had no clipping --and I normally shoot with the histogram to make sure. I didn't look too close at the final histogram, so It's possible there is a little here in the final image though, since it is easy to inadvertently introduce in the B&W conversion process, and I sometimes set a little clipping in the hdr processing. JoeB from Brampton, CanadaMaybe we should be glad that he's off the road, many a times I've been hit by their stones. 4 Jul 2008 12:52am @JoeB: I don't have a single vehicle that doesn't have a cracked windshield --at home at at work. It's amazing to read the signs on the trucks around here that proclaim --not responsible for cracked or broken windshields. That's the new America I guess --"business" isn't responsible for anything, just us individuals. Sandy from Ontario, United Statesfab capture...love this shot! Great in black in white...good composition...marvy! 4 Jul 2008 1:47am @Sandy: Thank you. Persian King from Tehran, IranThis truck has so many parts left, one can make fortune dismantling and auctioning them off; Of course it has no owner 8 Jul 2008 5:01pm |
