Reminds me of a Jerry Jeff Walker song. Something in the spirit, perhaps, of Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother --but something different. I can't remember which song, or find the lyrics. Maybe I just heard someone improvising some of the lyrics of a Jerry Jeff song.

Btw: watched your unprocessed blackbird image - it always amazes me what software gets out of nearly black pixels. Well done!

@MadScientist: I had been using Capture NX for most of my processing, but lately, as with this image, I've discovered that the Photoshop RAW importer has some nice features.

@Observing: I haven't watched TV in a long time, but there used to be an tourism ad that went: "Texas, it's a whole other country" --and it wasn't all hyperbole. There also used to be a beer ad for a beer that claimed to be the "national beer of Texas." There is sort of a state identity here that is different than it is in other states.

@Persian King: I don't know King, there a lot of people with tats these days and I don't think most of them are hardcore.
