Turbine Repair

At the point I find myself posting this it's looking like I may not be able to get back to responding to comments and viewing blogs until at least Tuesday. In the meantime, thanks to every one for looking or commenting.

I'm going through another scanning phase this week. All of the images this week are scans of film images taken years ago, long before digital photography was considered to be a possibility.

This is really interesting to watch!
Just for curiosity: were you allowed to make these photos? Usually companies lay low when it comes to photographing company grounds.

@MadScientist: I was working there at the time. I just discovered today that I have some other shots like these I'd forgotten about. I'll see about scanning them in the next couple weeks.

great composition! and i say that knowing it's often hard to find a good composition when photographing industrial objects/settings. the angle of the shot really helps bring out the lines in the ceiling and in the stuff in the foreground

@danthro: Thanks. On this one I even vaguely remember angling the camera to include all the elements I wanted in the frame.
