Yesterday I was trying to catch up with my blog viewing. It was taking me anywhere from 30-60 seconds to move from one image to another, or to post a comment --which quickly made the experience very tedious. Did anyone else find Animus slow yesterday or was I dealing with a slow internet connection? Based on the speed I was seeing at other websites I'm inclined to blame my connection. Strange though, I went to a speed test site --it took forever to load the page, but then the speed test yielded very high values.

I'm going through another scanning phase this week. All of the images this week are scans of film images taken years ago, long before digital photography was considered to be a possibility.

It's been a long time and my memory might be off, but I think this is Trafalgar Square. UK viewers please correct me if I'm wrong.

Piccadilly Circus is indeed correct. I must have been suffering from brain lock when I thought Trafalgar Square. I do have some images of people and pigeons at Trafalgar Square, but circus --as in traffic circle-- obviously fits this scene more than square.

Just walked up the road to check and it looks like Piccadilly Circus to me ! I can tell you that boy has grown, too. Lovely nostalgia.

Yes Piccadilly Circus, not far from Trafalgar Square though (the one with Nelson's Column). Blast from the past!

@Daryl: Don't know what I was thinking. It doesn't even look like a square. It looks like a "circus," as in a clever Brit way of saying "traffic circle."

@Illuci: Thanks. It's just that when you're trying to respond to 30 or more comments and review like 100 or more photos, at 30 plus seconds a click, it takes all afternoon --so the smart thing to do would be to wait and do it another time.

@Observing: Late 70's. Do you know, if you upgrade to "pay" is there any difference in speed? I've been meaning to upgrade but I just haven't gotten around to it.

@Sandy: I'm not sure what year it was actually.....either about 79 or 83, and I'd lean towards 79. I'm 53.

why does this make me think of the Sound of Music? :) a wonderful and antiquated shot here mate... and yes -- i often find Am3 to be taking about 40 or so seconds to post comments / and or move between pages... not sure why -- but it does add up quickly in regards to time!

your old camera really emphasized the blues and cool colors. neat street shot. so many people crammed into that small space in the circle. but they don't all look young enough to be kids on a fieldtrip or something.

@danthro: Technically, that would be the film. I think the color has shifted over the years, but I was also a little sloppy about making color corrections when I scanned.
