Anyone who knows dogs knows how friendly a Lab is.

It doesn't look like I'm going to get a chance to respond to comments and view blogs until the weekend --so in the meantime, thanks to those of you who visit or leave comments.

yep. i had a dog very much like this, a little stockier - great dog, friendly, gentle, great swimmer...

@gbe: Where we used to live, out in the country, our Pointer mix used to roam the neighborhood, and he had a Chocolate lab girlfriend.

Choco would be a good name ;) he does look playful. I like most dogs except the pitbull breeds. Very nice action shot.

Our daughter used to have a chocolate lab. Yes, they're very nice, but need a lot of space to roam. She had it in a fenced in back yard and it was so bored it was eating the wood pillars of the back patio cover. Not good:-)

This color Lab is so popular, I am no dog specialist but wonder why is that? Are they smarter or friendlies that other breeds of canines?

@Persian King: No idea. Labs are friendly. Maybe people fancy themselves as having a hunting dog --something like buying a 4WD with a name like Safari when they never leave a paved road?
