I'm woefully behind in viewing blogs and responding to comments. Seems like it's been one thing after another this week. I hope to catch up over the weekend.

This will be the last image of the series. If I wasn't such a dog nut I'd probably have ended it last week.

@Lorna: Yes they are. But wow, a Bull Mastiff and 3 Great Danes. Would love to have them but I'm not sure I can handle them. My Dane was all over me last night while I was trying to read in bed and my wife was laughing saying: "Daddy, let's play, I'll be the Great Dane and you be the wild boar." Yeah, it was sort of amusing, and he was just playing, but if a couple of playmates his size had joined in who knows where I'd be today.

@MadScientist: Well, I suppose it can be misinterpreted. But perhaps you've never seen the old "Saturday Night Live." I remember a skit for a fake TV ad where the slogan for a restaurant that serves rabbit goes: Hurry on down to the rabbit hut and we'll turn you into a rabbit nut." Of course, I'm not using dog nut in the same sense.

@danthro: Yes, especially with still images, but even video is subject to interpretation. Often, a photo is not proof of anything.

i, myself, am certainly not a dog lover (i have my moments) but this series has been a true joy! beautiful, active shots, evocative of freedom and release. such happy creatures! thanks for the faaabulous posting!!
