European Starling

I've yet to find a really good bird guide. Here, for instance, is a Starling, but it doesn't really look like the Starling in any of the bird books I've looked through. I was pretty sure this bird was a Starling, but a little uncertain because of the coloring. However, I eventually did find an illustrated guide that showed, for some birds, coloring by season. This, apparently, is how the European Starling looks in Winter --at least in the US. For a number of the birds I've posted recently, though I'm reasonably certain of the type, based on shape and other characteristics, I've yet to find an image that matches the coloring.
