I assume these guys are harmless, but they'd scare the dickens out of me if I ran across one unexpectedly, especially at night! The shots nice, but hope they don't migrate East. ;-)

@dang: Very timid and docile. Some people keep them as pets, but up to about 25% of them carry the leprosy virus --depending on location-- so I wouldn't recommend it.
Such an interesting creature! I can't imagine coming across one of these just roaming around. Cool shot.

@bluechameleon: This day I must have seen 50 of them --not together of course. Either there are more roaming in daylight than in the past or I just wasn't very observant until I started taking wildlife photos.
Superb! I like the selective focus and low angle you captured this from. They are unusual and interesting creatures. Well spotted, especially since they are nocturnal.
