Texas Rural Tour Image 9: How Now Brown Cow?Posted by Twelvebit (Victoria, United States) on 16 February 2009 in Animal & Insect. This was going to be the last image in the series --until I went out driving this weekend. I felt at times that I had stumbled into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre part of rural Texas, and starting tomorrow I will share the weird.

Can't wait for the wierd! 16 Feb 2009 12:50pm Barbara from Florida, United StatesGreat series. Great shot. I like the color and clarity separating him from the rest. But with a look like that and what the future sounds like, I would rescue him and take him home. 16 Feb 2009 1:25pm @Barbara: My wife says she couldn't be a rancher because she'd treat all the animals as pets and never be able to eat any of them. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyThis is some disillusioned cow! Don't mess with her. 16 Feb 2009 2:12pm Stéphane from Lyon, FranceHi Twelvebit ! Wow ! A lovely portrait ! Excellent ! "La vache qu'elle est belle !" (in french when you say "la vache" i means : wow !). Bye ! : ) 16 Feb 2009 3:13pm @Stéphane: Thank you for stopping by. Shawna from Regina, CanadaI love images like this. I only hope I will be able to capture one one day. 16 Feb 2009 3:45pm @Shawna: There must be cows in Canada. I'm sure you will, if you haven't already. Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesA wonderful, fascinating, humorous, and all together splendid portrait. Very well seen and done. Everything works here. The fact of your subject being perfectly 'squared' to the camera. All the other cows being the same and different colors from the subject. The light. The depth-of-field. Zowwie! 16 Feb 2009 9:14pm @Stephen Phillips: Thanks very much. I almost didn't post this fearing it was too common, trite. JoeB from Brampton, CanadaReally like the colour in this, looks like the angry uncle in the family. Another great example of an animal eye-balling you. 16 Feb 2009 11:18pm Daryl from Amagasaki, JapanA challenge; or did you startle it? I half expect it to say something like... 'Do you mind, I'm trying to enjoy my cud in peace". 16 Feb 2009 11:39pm @Daryl: Not startled. In fact, it came over to see me when I pulled the car up alongside the fence. grant from kansas city, United Stateshello - great shot. i'm looking forward to the weird. 17 Feb 2009 2:34am sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesLove your title.
