Texas Rural Tour Image 11: The Bag in the Tree

This is a closeup of the hanging bag in yesterday's photo. I planned to present this image in b&w to match yesterday's shot, but in this case the color image just seemed to contain too much important information to throw out. This location was out in the country. No residence was visible from this spot. Think about why someone would go to the trouble of going to this location and hanging a bag like this in a tree. What kind of answers do you get?

Perhaps scent to keep the calf close to the area? Or maybe just coincidence, thrown and happen to land in the tree. Can't quiet tell if it's tied to the branch from the photo.

Seems fairly obvious to me - It's a plastic bush (botanicus polyvinus) in full flower

you're right about the color photo containing more information that would the b&w one. but i still can't tell what that stuff is - and maybe it's just as well. very strange.

@grant: Yeah, well, I got a couple feet away from it and looked pretty hard and I have no better idea than you have from looking at this photo. Frankly, I didn't want to know badly enough to cut the bag open.

@JoeB: There are some things, that while I can "handle" seeing them, I have no desire to do so. For instance, I have no desire to watch a movie where an animal is tortured or abused.

@Amir: I'm not sure it's any creepier than any of the other states, when everything is taken into account. And there are far worse places in this country, for sure.
