@Daryl Johnson: These photos don't tell half the story on that subject. I was very discreet in spite of all the eye candy. The lovely ladies numbered in the thousands --and I'm not exaggerating.

@Amir: I think the student population of UT Austin is about 40% non-white. Because UT Austin is a major university with things like Nobel prize winning faculty, a major observatory, and a particle accelerator, I think it is sort of a technological Mecca between the two coasts. Anybody in science or engineering today in this country knows that a large and growing minority of our scientists and engineers are Asian and Middle Eastern. And in my experience, when you look at engineers with advanced degrees, the vast majority are foreign born. My photos may over represent the diversity, but Austin, and particularly the UT campus, is very cosmopolitan.
