@dj.tigersprout: Thank you. Honestly, sort of surprised at the response to this one. I debated with myself whether it was good enough to post ---and I felt like it was a little noisy for ISO 400.

@Amir: Yeah, good point --I left of the 1.5 multiplier, so this was effectively shot at 750mm. This was taken in Austin. It's not a Kingfisher. I thought when I took the photo it was a Blackbird, but seeing the head during processing I don't think so. I'm not sure because I can't see the breast, but I think it's a Starling.

@Amir: When I go out specifically to take photos I used to take the D80 and the D40. Now I take the D90 and the D80, and sometimes the D40, all fitted with different lenses. However, I'm now carrying the D80 in case the opportunity for taking photos comes up, so when I'm not setting out to take photos, the D80 or D40 is probably all I'm going to have with me.
