Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandI'll save them!!! Happy ST...no Big Macs here!!! 6 Oct 2009 5:35am @Daryl Johnson: My wife won't eat tacos or any other kind of beef after we've been out and I've taken some photos like this. Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United KingdomThey sure do have that mournful look of being resigned to fate, poor things. Hope they make it to next Tuesday, at least. 6 Oct 2009 8:56am @LauraS: In my old age I'm becoming more and more of an animal lover. My wife couldn't be a rancher because she'd want to keep all the cattle as pets. MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyEight, Nine, Out! Super comment on our comsumption society. 6 Oct 2009 10:16pm JoeB from Brampton, CanadaThey'll look more appetizing in foam and saran wrap on the supermarket shelf. 7 Oct 2009 1:20am @JoeB: If you're into veal, or, remembering one of Grant's recent images, Veal Bruisettes. MARIANA from Waterloo, Canadaha ha .. they are so sweet :)) Very, very neat shot :)) I do not know why but caws like me a lot . When I go to the farm, Mennonite farm, all caws are coming to the wall and staring at me .. I have so many shots of them , I love them :) 7 Oct 2009 4:21am @MARIANA: I'm told by ranchers here that they come because they're hoping you're going to feed them. However, I think they're just curious, or some might say, nosy. It's more comforting to believe the first reason --they're looking for food because it's much easier to justify killing and abusing something that has no thoughts, feelings, or curiosity. Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandThey are much to lovely and beautiful to end up as a hamburger! Beautiful photo of the numbers 8 and 9 with their mum! 7 Oct 2009 8:28am @MrsAmber: A pun? British humor? After all, Britain does rule the English speaking world in satire. Amir from Tehran, IranAn if they knew that, they would have stop making babies. I gave up on meat a year or two a go. My culture is heavy on animal products and I had to almost let go of all my national/regional food altogether as a result. Beautiful shot. 7 Oct 2009 8:48pm @Amir: Have greatly reduced my own intake of beef. Haven't had the discipline yet to go completely meat free. @Alun: Two of three Brits commenting say, "tacos, mmmmm." Is there a particular British appreciation of Mexican food? I don't even remember seeing tacos anywhere last time I was in the UK. For me it's, Fish and Chips, mmmmmm. Krista from Guelph, Ontario, CanadaI love the intense stares they have on their faces. Well seen! 8 Oct 2009 11:09am Alun from cheshire, United KingdomWell yes there are very few Mexican food places over here, but there are a few. I had my fill of Mexican food when over in the the US. Love it 9 Oct 2009 5:43am @Alun: It's a staple around here, with plenty of Mexican fast food restaurants besides Taco Bell --and better. dj.tigersprout from New York City, United Stateslol... what a terrible thought! ;) 16 Oct 2009 6:33pm |
